You can securely collect a payment from a remote client, without asking for their credit card number (please never do that, its really risky) as well as letting them use a mobile wallet that they are familiar with. Meanwhile, on the store end, accept the payment on the existing POS just like a normal credit card transaction.

Send The Remote QR Code
Store associate rings up the item on their POS and then generates a one-time QR code on their interface for the amount due and sends it to the shopper
Shopper Completes Wallet Payment
Shopper extracts the QR Code they received by using their mobile wallet app and pays using their preferred payment method
Swipe Merchant Card on POS
Store Associate gets a confirmation that Shopper has completed the wallet payment and then swipes the Merchant Card on the POS to complete the transaction at the store

At no time is the Shopper financial or payment method information exposed to the Store Associate. This ensures the system is fully compliant with risk and security standards common in the retail space. Shopper gets an instant digital receipt of the transaction that they can use in case they did not receive the goods as advertised.
